Grown by his Uncle and started working in a bookshop. Orlers became an important person in the history of leiden and the Dutch Revolt. He wrote several works with nice engravings of cities and battles:

  • Nassauschen laurencrans (1610; Franse vert. 1612)
  • Verscheyden bruyloft dichten ende liedekens ghedicht ende gecomponeert by verscheyden gheesten (1611)
  • Beschrijvinge der stad Leyden (fragment) (1614; 2de vermeerderde druk 1641)
  • Waerachtige beschryvinge en afbeeldinghe van alle de overwinninghen (1619)
  • Wilhelm en Maurits van Nassau, princen van Orangien, haar leven en bedrijf (1651)
